Sun Apr 2717:41Jaden Ivey Making Progress
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (calf) is still recovering from the broken left Fibula he sustained during the January 1 win over the Orlando Magic. Fortunately, Ivey is moving in the right direction, with the team reporting that his current activities include "a progression of basketball shooting and skill work," which have been accompanied by "continued re-conditioning and strength work." He had a down year in 2023-24. Yet, with J.B. Bickerstaff at the Helm, Ivey averaged a career-high 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 40.9% shooting from downtown during the regular season. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Still, the Pistons are one game away from being bounced from the postseason by the Knicks, meaning Ivey likely won't be back in the lineup until the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign, assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks along the way.

Thu Jan 213:09Jaden Ivey Diagnosed With A Broken Fibula
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey will miss at least most of the remainder of the regular season after sustaining a broken fibula in his left leg, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. The third-year guard was having an exceptional season alongside Cade Cunningham in the Pistons backcourt, averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 29.9 minutes per game with a 26.6% usage rate. The former Boilermaker had only missed three games all season before Wednesday's injury, and in those games, Malik Beasley stepped into an expanded role while Cunningham's usage also rose. Ivey's injury will also open up playing time for Ausar Thompson, who is ramping up to a larger workload after a delayed start to the season.

Wed Jan 121:33Jaden Ivey Leaves Game Early On Wednesday Night, Stretchered To Locker Room
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey suffered a gruesome looking leg injury in Wednesday night's game against the Orlando Magic. Ivey injured his left leg when Magic guard Cole Anthony dove for a loose ball. Ivey went down immediately and was in obvious pain as the game came to a pause. The 22-year-old was stretchered to the locker room with his left leg covered in towels. Ivey had been having a fantastic game up to that point, putting up 22 points while hitting five threes. He's been a key piece to the Pistons' success this season as a great second option to Cade Cunningham while posting career highs in PPG, RPG and APG. With Ivey likely to miss considerable time, expect Ausar Thompson to get bumped into the starting rotation.

Sat Dec 21 202420:26Jaden Ivey Available On Saturday
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) is available ahead of Saturday's game against the Phoenix Suns. As expected, Ivey will make his return to the court after missing each of the last two games due to knee inflammation. His return figures to push Ausar Thompson back to the bench where he won't have as great of streaming appeal. Also, Malik Beasley figures to lose some minutes as well with Ivey back in the picture. Ivey has been on a cold streak lately, but hopefully can turn it around on Saturday. Fantasy managers in season-long formats should feel safe about plugging him back into their lineups.

Fri Dec 20 202420:57Jaden Ivey Likely To Play Saturday
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) is currently listed as probable ahead of Saturday's game against the Phoenix Suns. It appears Ivey is trending towards getting back on the court following a two-game absence due to left knee soreness. If active, Ivey figures to return to his regular role in the starting five. The 22-year-old hasn't been the best fantasy option lately, but is worth holding due to his upside. Ivey is going to continue getting nearly 30 minutes per game, so hopefully he gets back into a rhythm soon. The return of Ivey would likely mean that Malik Beasley sees a reduced role.

Thu Dec 19 202418:33Jaden Ivey Ruled Out Against Jazz
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) has been downgraded to out on Thursday as expected. The third-year guard was originally considered doubtful while he dealt with knee inflammation. Malik Beasley and Tim Hardaway Jr. should both see extra minutes in the starting five while Ron Holland II will remain in a reserve role. Beasley stands out as the better streaming option, especially after dropping 28 points, four assists, three rebounds, and one block in their last game against the Miami Heat.

Tue Dec 17 202409:12Jaden Ivey A Late Scratch On Monday Because Of Knee Pain
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) was a late scratch on Monday versus Miami because of left knee pain. He was already announced as a starter before the team pulled him from the game. Malik Beasley filled in for Ivey in the first unit and had a great night with a season-high 28 points on 7-for-13 three-point shooting. Ivey's issue doesn't sound serious, but fantasy managers should definitely monitor the situation. Beasley led the Pistons in scoring on Monday and will have additional fantasy value if Ivey remains out. Detroit returns to the court Thursday night versus Utah.

Mon Nov 18 202418:44Jaden Ivey Will Play On Monday
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (ankle) will play during Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls. As expected, Ivey is active after being listed as probable on the injury report ahead of this game. It sounds like he's dealing with a minor ankle sprain but that won't be enough to hold him out of Monday's contest. Ivey posted 28 points and eight assists during Sunday's game. The 22-year-old has posted a few duds this season, but Ivey has mostly been solid early on. Fantasy managers should get him back in their lineups ahead of tip-off.

Mon Nov 18 202415:53Jaden Ivey Probable Against Bulls
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (ankle) is listed as probable on Monday and should suit up for the third game in a row after spraining his ankle and only missing one game. He's played no more than 30 minutes in the last two contests, but the last game against the Washington Wizards happened to be a blowout where he scored 28 points to go along with eight assists, four rebounds, and one steal. He should remain in all fantasy lineups as long as he's healthy.

Thu Nov 14 202423:30Jaden Ivey Questionable For Friday Night
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (toe) is questionable for Friday's meeting in Toronto. He wasn't available for the Pistons' loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday because of a right great toe sprain. As a result, Malik Beasley entered the starting lineup for the first time this season, ending the night by amassing 26 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists while shooting 8-for-16 from behind the arc. With Tim Hardaway Jr. (head) doubtful, Beasley could find himself back with the first five against Toronto if Ivey is ruled out, so he'd be worth considering for fantasy lineups versus one of the worst defensive squads in the National Basketball Association.

Mon Oct 21 202420:35Pistons Exercise Option For Jaden Ivey
The Pistons exercised the fourth-year option for guard Jaden Ivey on Monday. The 22-year-old is coming off a rough season, where he spent some time coming off the bench. However, he wasn't horrible, averaging 15.4 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds. But fantasy managers have plenty of reasons to be optimistic about Ivey's potential heading into the 2024-25 campaign, considering he's been routinely praised by new head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. He's also missed only 13 games during his NBA career, which is another positive for fantasy managers. That said, Ivey's three-point percentage needs work. The same is true for his free-throw percentage. Yet, the upside is there, so fantasy managers could easily see Ivey surpass his ADP expectations this year.

Fri Mar 29 202419:09Jaden Ivey Available Against Washington
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) is good to go for Friday's game against the Washington Wizards. Ivey was a late addition to the injury report, with soreness in his left knee on Wednesday, and he didn't play against Minnesota. Cade Cunningham (knee) will be available to help out Detroit's depleted backcourt. Malachi Flynn could be in line to see some more minutes during the contest also.

Thu Mar 28 202420:47Jaden Ivey Listed As Questionable For Friday
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Washington Wizards. Ivey was a late addition to the injury report, with soreness in his left knee on Wednesday, and he didn't play against Minnesota. Cade Cunningham (knee) and Quentin Grimes (knee) are also questionable. The 12-61 Pistons could be severely short in the backcourt against the 14-59 Wizards. Marcus Sasser and Malachi Flynn could be in line for many minutes.

Wed Mar 27 202414:18Jaden Ivey Downgraded To Questionable
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (knee) is now listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Ivey being a late addition to the injury report with soreness in his left knee is not a good sign for his chances of suiting up on Wednesday. With Cade Cunningham (knee) also iffy, the 12-60 Pistons could be severely undermanned in the backcourt against a vaunted Minnesota defense that's holding point guards to the fifth-fewest DraftKings points this season. Marcus Sasser(illness), who is probable, and Malachi Flynn could be in line for big minutes for Detroit in this one, and although they wouldn't be the most appetizing season-long streamers during the fantasy semifinals, they're worth watching as DFS salary-relief options on a massive 12-game slate.

Tue Feb 27 202415:59Jaden Ivey Probable With Ankle Soreness
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (ankle) is probable for Tuesday's contest against the Chicago Bulls. Ivey is experiencing soreness in his right ankle ahead of the second leg of Detroit's back-to-back, but he is likely to be available Tuesday. Chicago ranks eighth in fantasy points allowed to opposing shooting guards, per DraftKings scoring, but the 22-year-old offensive-minded guard is worth deploying in all season-long points leagues as long as he's in the Pistons first unit.

Sun Nov 12 202314:47Jaden Ivey Cleared For Action Against Chicago
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (illness) will play in Sunday's meeting with the Chicago Bulls. The 21-year-old missed his last four games because of an illness. However, he had been phased out of Monty Williams' rotation before his extended absence, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect a productive showing, even more so with Alec Burks (forearm) back in the mix.

Sat Nov 11 202318:52Jaden Ivey Might Miss Another Game Sunday
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (illness) is questionable for Sunday's Central Division showdown with the Chicago Bulls. The 21-year-old is battling a non-COVID-related illness, keeping him off the floor for the team's previous four games. Unfortunately, Ivey has struggled this season, averaging 11.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, all down from his rookie campaign. As a result of his unproductive play and unavailability of late, he's already worked his way off most fantasy rosters. But if anything, another absence from Ivey could keep Marcus Sasser relevant, with the 2023 No. 25 overall pick averaging 10.7 points and shooting 43.9% from deep this season.

Fri Nov 10 202310:57Jaden Ivey Set To Miss Another Game On Friday
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (illness) has been ruled out of the team's in-season tournament game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. His type of illness and timetable to return hasn't been disclosed by the team just yet, so it's unclear how many games Ivey will end up missing. He's missed the last three games and will miss his fourth in a row on Friday. Fantasy managers will want to stay tuned for any more updates after this game, but for streaming options, Marcus Sasser should see big minutes off of the bench while Joe Harris (shoulder) is also out. Stanley Umude and Jared Rhoden saw some minutes in their last contest, but they would be riskier options at this time.
