Sun Mar 215:22Charles Bassey Ruled Out For Sunday's Game
San Antonio Spurs center Charles Bassey (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Bassey is now set to miss his fourth game in a row due to a bone bruise in his left knee. The 24-year-old figures to play a big role in the rotation once he's cleared to play again. For now, Bismack Biyombo, Jeremy Sochan, and Sandro Mamukelashvili should all see more playing time with the Spurs limited at the center spot. Sochan is the only player worth rostering out of the three players right now.

Tue Feb 2508:52Charles Bassey Out With Bone Bruise
San Antonio Spurs center Charles Bassey (knee) will not suit up for Tuesday's tilt against the New Orleans Pelicans. He was injured in the same matchup on Sunday night and has been diagnosed with a bone bruise on his left knee. Bassey only recently returned from a right MCL sprain, so the 24-year-old has had horrible luck with injuries. With Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) sidelined, Bismack Biyombo is looking at a fourth consecutive start at center. The veteran has averaged 6.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals in the role. Due to the frontcourt injuries, Sandro Mamukelashvili also has a chance to see more time on the floor.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]
Thu Oct 13 202209:26Charles Bassey Released By Sixers
The Philadelphia 76ers released center Charles Bassey on Thursday. The 21-year-old was drafted by the Sixers with the 53rd pick in the 2021 draft. Last season, he appeared in only 23 games while averaging 7.3 minutes across that time. He put up 3.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game while shooting 63.8% from the floor. Fantasy-wise, Bassey was a non-factor while he was buried on the bench during most of his time in Philadelphia. He showed promise to hang around in the league during his little time on the floor, though. If he lands on a rebuilding team, he may start to show his true value. For now, fantasy managers don't need to worry because he shouldn't be on anyone's radar.
