Thu Aug 1423:22Bobby Seymour Expected to be Promoted
Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Bobby Seymour is expected to be called up to the major league roster to join the team on Friday, reports Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times. He's had a great year in Triple-A, slashing .263/.327/.553 with 30 home runs, 87 RBI, and 70 runs in 105 games. While he wasn't an elite prospect from the start, being drafted back in the 13th round of the 2021 draft, he has consistently slugged his way through every level of the minors. The 26-year-old could see decent playing time with Jonathan Aranda (wrist) on the injured list, and is worth monitoring in deeper leagues if you need a power boost.

Fri May 208:17Bobby Seymour Showing Power Potential
Tampa Bay Rays first base prospect Bobby Seymour went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI during their contest against Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday. This was Seymour's second-straight contest going deep and third long ball over this two-game stretch. Over his last six games, the infielder has posted an impressive .320/.370/.720 slash line with one double and three long balls. Through 29 games at Triple-A Durham this season, Seymour has held a .252/.308/.472 line. Last summer, Seymour made his Triple-A debut and showed similar power upside, posting a .269/.353/.601 line with 19 home runs over a 57-game stretch. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on Seymour's progress at Triple-A as he could push for promotion in the coming months.
