Mon Jun 2314:07Tanner Gordon to Make a Rehab Start on Tuesday
Colorado Rockies right-hander Tanner Gordon (oblique) said he is scheduled to make minor-league rehab starts for Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, June 24, and Sunday, June 29. Gordon is getting close to returning to the big leagues after initially landing on the 15-day injured list on June 3 with a left-oblique strain. The 27-year-old former sixth-rounder by the Atlanta Braves in 2019 made three starts for the Rockies earlier this season before his injury and allowed 11 runs (eight earned) on 20 hits (two homers) while walking three and striking out 10 in 17 innings pitched. It's unclear if Gordon will need another rehab start after Sunday's outing, and it's also unclear if he'll get a shot in Colorado's starting rotation again when he's fully healthy. He can remain on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.

Sat May 2408:45Tanner Gordon Strikes Out Five, Picks Up First MLB Win
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Tanner Gordon pitched well at home against a potent Yankees lineup on Friday, allowing just two earned runs on five hits and two walks whilestriking out five over six innings of work on the way to earning his first major league win in a 3-2 victory. The righty was recalled from Triple-A to make the start, although he made one start earlier this month as well in which he allowed four earned runs but was able to provide the team with at least six innings in that one, too. We'll see if he sticks aroundthis time, and with Chase Dollander hitting the IL, a spot in the rotation did open up. If the former sixth-round draft pick does get another shot, his turn lines up with the Cubs in Chicago next Wednesday.

Sat Aug 3 202412:26Tanner Gordon Set To Rejoin Rotation On Saturday
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Tanner Gordon is set to return to the starting rotation on Saturday evening against the San Diego Padres. Gordon has made three starts this season and held a high 8.80 ERA, 1.76 WHIP, and a 2:12 BB:K ratio. At Triple-A this summer, Gordon has held a 4.89 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. The right-hander was optioned back to Triple-A last week but is already on his way back to the big leagues. If Gordon could settle in, he could claim the final spot in the Rockies rotation, especially while German Marquez (elbow) is on the 15-day IL. Gordon is best to fade in DFS this afternoon against the Padres, but could be worth a look in favorable matchups going forward in NL-only formats.
