Sat May 1001:59Jasson Dominguez Smashes Three Homers On Friday
New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez had a night to remember on Friday, going 3-for-4 with three homers and seven RBI. Dominguez could not be stopped in this one, hitting solo shots in the third and seventh innings before capping the night off with a grand slam in the eighth. After a slow start to the season, the 22-year-old is suddenly back to solid overall numbers after this monster game. He has a .250 AVG, 20 runs, five homers, 19 RBI, and three swipes in 108 at-bats. Dominguez hasn't been playing every day, but still gets plenty of playing time and hits in a stacked lineup. He should be rostered in standard-size leagues just in case he lives up to his potential, and Friday is a reminder of his sky-high upside.

Wed Apr 1600:42Jasson Dominguez Collects Three Hits, Three RBI Tuesday
New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez had a productive game at the plate in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Royals. Dominguez went 3-for-3 with two singles, a double, and three RBI. The 22-year-old has had a solid start to the season offensively, slashing .275/.362/.431 with one home run, eight RBI, and two stolen bases in 58 plate appearances. There are some potentially worrisome signs for Dominguez, such as his dreadful .050 batting average against left-handed pitchers and his bottom-five percentile average exit velocity. However, the Martian carries a ton of pedigree and has produced respectable overall numbers, so fantasy managers can be cautiously optimistic at this point.

Mon Apr 713:12Jasson Dominguez Heads To Bench For First Time This Year
New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez will get his first day off of the year for Monday's series opener in Detroit against the Tigers at Comerica Field. Cody Bellinger will slide over to left field and bat third, while Trent Grisham will get another start in center and hit eighth in the batting order versus Tigers right-hander Casey Mize. Dominguez will get his first breather of 2025 after starting the year going 8-for-33 (.242) with a home run, three doubles, three RBI, one steal, seven runs scored, four walks and nine strikeouts in 38 trips to the plate over nine games. The 22-year-old should be back in there for the second game of the series in Motown on Tuesday. The Yankees want to keep Grisham's bat in the lineup after he hit two homers and drove in four runs on Saturday against the Pirates. The mustachioed outfielder is on a tear early with three homers and nine RBI in his first 22 at-bats.

Tue Mar 2516:24Jasson Dominguez, Ben Rice Make Opening Day Roster
New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez and first baseman Ben Rice officially have made the team's Opening Day roster, according to manager Aaron Boone. It shouldn't come as a surprise to fantasy managers that either player is on the big-league roster to start the year. Dominguez, 22, is the much bigger name in fantasy and will open his first full season in the majors as New York's starting left fielder. As long as he stays healthy, the Martian should be a lock for 20 homers and 20 steals. He hit .267 (16-for-60) with three homers, 12 RBI and five steals in 19 spring games. Although he hit just .207 (18-for-87) in his first 26 big-league games the last two years, Dominguez should be locked into starting fantasy lineups anytime he's active. Rice, 26, clubbed five homers in 19 Grapefruit League games. The power is there, but the playing time might not be as he tries to get at-bats at first, DH and catcher.

Fri Mar 1409:57Jasson Dominguez Launches Second Spring Home Run
New York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez went 1-for-3 with a two-run shot for his second long ball of spring training. He hit this home run off Detroit's top pitching prospect Jackson Jobe. Through 12 spring training contests, the switch-hitter has held a .229/.270/.400 line two stolen bases and a 2:10 BB:K. The top prospect is expected to be their everyday left fielder at the start of the season. He has only appeared in 26 contests in the major leagues throughout his career and has held a .437 SLG with six home runs during this stint. Last summer, Dominguez held an impressive .309/.368/.480 slash line with seven doubles and seven home runs. He swiped 15 bags and held a 16:36 BB:K. Dominguez is a high-upside outfielder to target as he could be poised for a breakout season with a full-time role in the Yankee lineup.

Tue Mar 423:05Jasson Dominguez Hits First Long Ball Of The Spring
New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez cranked his first home run of the spring in Tuesday's 12-3 Grapefruit League win over the Phillies. Dominguez was 2-for-4 on the day with an RBI and a pair of runs scored. The 22-year-old has gotten off to a bit of a slow start, now 4-for-20 (.200) through seven spring games, and has yet to steal his first base, although that should not have any bearing on his fantasy draft stock for now. The Dominican could hit leadoff for the Yankees this season, which should be a boon to his run-scoring production, although on Tuesday, the left-handed hitter batted third. He's dealt with injuries the last two seasons, but if he can manage to stay healthy this year, he's a legitimate 20/20 threat and isn't that expensive with an NFBC ADP of 147.

Mon Feb 1716:02Jasson Dominguez Could Hit Leadoff For Yankees
MLB.com's Bryan Hoch projects outfielder Jasson Dominguez to start in left field and bat leadoff for the New York Yankees on Opening Day in 2025. The Yankees could turn to Dominguez as the table-setter this year after they used seven players in the leadoff spot in 2024 -- mostly shortstop Anthony Volpe, who had 76 starts atop the lineup. Manager Aaron Boone thinks Dominguez's skill set will play well in the leadoff role because his mix of on-base ability, power and solid baserunning. The Yankees prefer to use both outfielder Cody Bellinger and infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. in the heart of the order, with Hoch projecting Bellinger to hit third and Chisholm in the No. 5 spot. Dominguez leading off would obviously be bad news for Volpe, who projects to hit eighth in front of infielder DJ LeMahieu. As long as he stays healthy, Dominguez should be a candidate for a 20-20 season, making him a top-40 fantasy outfield target.

Tue Jan 2821:25Cody Bellinger Likely To Play Center Field, Jasson Dominguez In Left Field
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said on WFAN 660 on Tuesday that he will likely use outfielder Cody Bellinger in center field and outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez in left field in 2025. The Yankees can move Bellinger around as needed, including to play first base, while Boone would rather keep Dominguez in one spot in what will be his first full professional season in the majors. Paul Goldschmidt will be the Yankees' starting first baseman, but on days he's used as the designated hitter, Bellinger could slide to first. In addition to being the team's primary left fielder in 2025, Dominguez, along with infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr., will be an option to hit leadoff for the Bombers. Both Bellinger and Dominguez will be No. 3 outfield targets in fantasy, with Bellinger having a safer floor given his experience, but Dominguez certainly has the higher long-term ceiling.

Mon Dec 9 202423:04Jasson Dominguez A Leading Candidate To Play Center Field In 2025
New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said that it "makes sense" to move outfielder Aaron Judge back to right field in 2025 after the team failed to re-sign superstar outfielder Juan Soto. Manager Aaron Boone mentioned outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez as a leading candidate to start in center field next year, even though Trent Grisham remains under contract. Dominguez, a switch-hitting 21-year-old Dominican, dealt with multiple injuries in 2024 and only played in 18 games at the major-league level with the Yankees after debuting in eight games in 2023 in his rookie campaign. He hit just .179 with two homers and five stolen bases in 56 at-bats last year but has an incredibly high ceiling in both fantasy and real life for the Yankees if he finally is given a shot at regular playing time in the Bronx next year. If he plays a full season in the majors and is healthy, Dominguez should be a lock for a 20-20 showing.

Mon Nov 11 202414:09Yankees Expect Jasson Dominguez To Have A Big Role In 2025
New York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez is expected to have a big role at the major-league level in 2025. "I fully expect him to be a big part of what we do this coming year," manager Aaron Boone said. Dominguez dealt with injuries in the minors and ended up playing in only 18 regular-season games at the major-league level with the Yankees in 2024, going 10-for-56 (.179) with two home runs, four RBI and five stolen bases in 67 plate appearances. The 21-year-old Dominican switch-hitter was mostly blocked in left field by Alex Verdugo, but he's a free agent this offseason and most likely won't be re-signed, opening the door for the Yankees' top prospect, per MLB Pipeline, to be on the big-league roster for the entire 2025 campaign. Even if the Yankees re-sign superstar Juan Soto, Dominguez figures to be an everyday player and has massive upside given his elite power/speed combination.

Wed Oct 9 202418:20Jasson Dominguez On The Bench Against Royals
New York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez is on the bench again for Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium against the Kansas City Royals. Dominguez hasn't started a single game in the ALDS to this point despite getting some decent run as the team's left fielder to close out the regular season. Alex Verdugo will get the nod in left field again on Wednesday and will hit ninth against Royals right-hander Seth Lugo. Verdugo has had only seven career at-bats against Lugo, but he has three hits against him (one double), one RBI and a strikeout. The 28-year-old has looked good so far in the first two games of the ALDS, going 3-for-7 with an RBI, a walk and two runs scored. Against righties in 429 plate appearances in the regular season, Verdugo hit .235 (92-for-392) with 11 of his 13 home runs. In the nine-hole, he's a deep DFS sleeper on Wednesday.

Fri Sep 13 202419:08Jasson Dominguez Taking A Seat On Friday
New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez is out of the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox. Fantasy managers don't need to worry as this appears to be a routine rest day for Dominguez. Instead, the Yankees have decided to give Alex Verdugo the start in left field. The left-handed slugger has hit well against Boston this season with 13 knocks in 43 plate appearances. Verdugo appears to be a strong fantasy option for Friday's slate.

Mon Sep 9 202417:08Yankees Recall Jasson Dominguez From Triple-A
The New York Yankees recalled outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday and also placed infielder DJ LeMahieu (hip) on the 10-day injured list with a right-hip impingement. The Yankees also reinstated infielder Jon Berti (calf) from the 60-day IL and designated left-hander Anthony Misiewicz for assignment. Dominguez, the club's top prospect, is starting in center field on Monday and is batting sixth against Kansas City Royals right-hander Brady Singer in the Bronx. The Yankees recently said that the 21-year-old wouldn't come back to the big leagues unless he was going to play regularly, so the Martian should play every day down the stretch for the Bombers. Injuries have been the story of his 2024 season after he recovered from Tommy John surgery, but now that Dominguez is in majors to stay, he should be rostered in all fantasy formats.

Tue Sep 3 202415:35Jasson Dominguez To Remain In Triple-A
New York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez will remain with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as the team called up outfielder Duke Ellis. Dominguez, the team's top prospect, and the #16 overall prospect according to MLB Pipeline, appeared in one game this season, going hitless in four at-bats before being sent back down. He is hitting .307/.367/.490 with nine homers, 28 RBI, 34 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases with three minor league teams after returning from Tommy John Surgery. Dynasty managers will have to wait until next season before Dominguez will have the opportunity to play in the majors.

Mon Sep 2 202421:16Jasson Dominguez Still "Very Much In Play" For Promotion
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said it's still "very much in play" that outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez gets called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. "Frankly, there's probably no one higher on Jasson Dominguez than me. He's very much in the mix, but we're not ready to make that move yet," Boone said. Dominguez was not one of the players that the Yankees called up when rosters expanded on Sunday, although the 21-year-old they call the Martian is still an option to join the Bombers down the stretch. He should be rostered in most fantasy leagues since he could make an immediate impact in all categories if he comes up and sees regular playing time, but he's also running out of time to make noise in fantasy. The Dominican switch-hitter has been injured in 2024 but has been excellent at Triple-A when healthy, slashing .298/.354/.457 with five homers, 18 RBI and 14 steals in 38 games.

Sun Sep 1 202412:24Jasson Dominguez Sticking In Minors For Now
The New York Yankees did not call up top prospect Jasson Dominguez to the big leagues with rosters expanding on Sunday, Sept. 1. Instead, the Yankees activated first baseman Anthony Rizzo (forearm) from the 60-day injured list and recalled right-handers Ron Marinaccio and Scott Effross and outfielder Duke Ellis from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. It's disappointing for fantasy managers in single-year leagues that have been stashing the Martian, but it doesn't mean the 21-year-old won't join the Yankees at some point this month. He was called up as the 27th man for a game earlier this month and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. When New York calls the Dominican outfielder up, they want to have an everyday role for him. Injuries have limited Dominguez to only 37 games at Triple-A this year, but he's been excellent when healthy, hitting .306/.359/.469 with five homers, 18 RBI and 14 stolen bases.

Sat Aug 31 202412:12Yankees Haven't Decided If They'll Call Up Jasson Dominguez
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said the team has not yet decided if it will promote top outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez when rosters expand on Sunday. Dominguez was slashing .299/.351/.453 with four home runs and 17 RBI through 34 contests with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre entering action on Friday. "We'll see," Boone said. "He's certainly one of those guys that will be in conversation for that. I feel like he's doing a good job after being a little slow coming back from the [left oblique] injury. I feel like he's been stringing together some days of good work and good at-bats. He's definitely a name in consideration." The 21-year-old came up for one game as the 27th man for a doubleheader on Aug. 18 and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts before being sent back down. It would be a surprise if Dominguez weren't called up, but he also wouldn't be guaranteed regular playing time.

Wed Aug 21 202410:06Jasson Dominguez Racks Up Four Hits
New York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez recorded a four-hit night for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday. It was his second four-hit performance at Triple-A this season, bringing his slash line with the RailRiders to .305/.365/.438. Dominguez was called up briefly as the 27th man on Sunday for the Yankees but returned to the minors. He wasted little time ramping back up his hitting with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 21-year-old switch hitter has battled injury this season but is beginning to round into form as he seeks a late-season call-up to New York.

Tue Aug 20 202410:01Jasson Dominguez Returns To Triple-A
New York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez has been sent back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Dominguez, the Yankees No.1 prospect per MLB Pipeline appeared in Sunday's contest, but went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. The talented outfielder recovered from Tommy John surgery earlier in the year, but then had another set back with an oblique injury. When on the field, the 21-year-old has been productive with a .298 batting average to go along with seven homers and 24 RBI in 40 games. He is likely to return to the Yankees during September call-ups and will be worth rostering in all formats when that happens.

Sun Aug 18 202415:02Jasson Dominguez Promoted To The Major Leagues
New York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez is being promoted to the major leagues for Sunday's game in Willliamsport, Penn., as the 27th man, according to Newsday. Dominguez has spent the entire summer in the minor leagues but has been limited as he has battled numerous injuries. Through 40 games split between several levels of the Yankees system, the switch-hitter has held a stellar .298/.365/.477 slash line with seven round-trippers, 24 RBI, and nine swiped bags. The top prospect in the Bronx got a brief taste of the majors last season and posted a .258 average with four long balls and one stolen base across a small eight-game stint. The 21-year-old is likely to be sent back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Sunday's game, but the man they call the Martian will have an immediate fantasy impact in all formats once he returns to the Bronx for good, likely when rosters expand in September.
